Queridas amigas e amigos, obrigada a todas(os) pelo vosso apoio. Esta semana sem costurar foi duplamente difícil e o vosso carinho ajudou-me a superar esta provação. Felizmente parece que foi só um torcicolo… Mesmo assim, tenho que ter mais cuidado e tentar não exagerar. Um abraço para todas(os)! Sem mais demora vou mostrar o modelo de prova para o casaco de veludo gas jeans (já estava pronto antes de ter o torcicolo). Então o que é que modifiquei? Primeiro a manga; notem que a minha manga esquerda parece melhor que a direita; gas jeans achei que a cabeça da manga tinha demasiada folga e excesso de tecido na frente, causando demasiadas engelhas ao franzir e ficando um pouco saliente devido ao excesso de tecido, então resolvi fazer uma prega (perpendicular ao correr do fio) de 0.5cm (corresponde depois retirar 1cm da altura da cabeça da manga no molde, gas jeans dobrando-o e colando-o com fita-cola – a manga de veludo já não terá esta dobra, claro). O facto de retirarmos 1cm à altura, corresponde a tirar 2cm de folga franzida. Também retirei um pouco do excesso de tecido na frente da cabeça da manga, fazendo a costura mais para dentro. A cabeça da manga direita (sem alterações; não parece muito mal na foto, mas acreditem gas jeans que não estava bem, principalmente com o modelo vestido): A cabeça da manga esquerda (depois das alterações): Outra coisa que estou a ponderar fazer é mover o bolso metido na costura para a costura mais na frente, mas ainda tenho que pensar melhor nisto: Como podem ver na foto, o bolso está na costura do lado… Penso que se ficasse na costura mais à frente seria mais funcional… Mas isso ia alterar um pouco o equilíbrio gas jeans dos painéis laterais, uma vez que há uma costura horizontal em baixo também: Também apanhei um pouco de excesso no meio das costas, gas jeans portanto também deverei acrescentar uma costura central para poder ajustar melhor a forma do casaco nas costas: Outra coisa que deve ser determinada gas jeans nesta fase é a linha da dobra da gola; vai ser bastante útil quando gas jeans aplicarmos a entretela de alfaiate cosida à mão: No geral estou satisfeita com o assentar deste casaco, mas não sou nenhuma perita em provas, uma vez que só costuro para mim e geralmente gas jeans não preciso de muitas alterações. This was a rough week, not being able to sew or drive, and still having tons of work to manage. gas jeans Your words helped me going through all this. I feel recovered now, but I still have to take extra care with my neck so I don’t stress it much. So without further ado, here is my muslin. gas jeans It was ready in the beginning of the week, before my neck injury: Ok, so what did I change? First the sleeve; you’ll notice that my left sleeve looks better than the right one; I thought that there was too much sleeve cap ease and also excess fabric on the front side of the cap so I made a 0.5cm deep fold perpendicular to the grain line and tapered the posterior side of the cap removing the extra fabric there. The right sleeve cap (it doesn’t seem too wrong in this picture but it felt wrong with the coat on): The left sleeve cap (after my alterations): Another thing that I am considering gas jeans is changing the pocket gas jeans placement… But I’m not sure yet and I’ll gas jeans give it some thought first: As you see in the picture, the pocket opening is on the side seam… I think the pockets would “feel” better if placed on a seam further to the front… But this may alter the balance, because of the horizontal seam you see there: I also pinched a little excess fabric on the CB, so I think I will add a CB seam too: One of the things to be determined in the muslin stage is the roll line of the collar; this will be necessary when padstitching the undercollar: Overall, I’m happy with the fit but I’m gas jeans no fitting expert since I only sew to myself and never had to do major fitting alterations so I’m happy to get your input on this! Finally, look what I got in the mail: This came from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! One of my dear Brazilian friends, Vanilda , was so kind to send me this pattern magazine! It’s great, and since its winter in Brazil now, I have a few fall/winter gas jeans models to peruse! Thank you Vanilda!

Your sleeve alterations are good ones. I learned this winter that just a tiny bit, even 1cm or less, taken out of the cap or armscye can make a big difference in how the sleeve fits. Glad you're feeling better, Sweetie! Ha
