Fashion Bug, one of Sri Lanka s leading mangalsutra designs retail clothing stores with over 17 outlets island-wide, launched their latest CSR program, this time at the Fort Railway Station, a location known to and frequented by the entirety of Sri Lanka s population. The unveiling of the Fort Railway Station s signage installation project was completed after weeks of hard work on the part of Sri Lanka Railways and Fashion Bug. This was something Fashion Bug gladly undertook seeing that there was a crying need for proper and comprehensive signage at a place which is frequented by almost everyone in Sri Lanka at some stage of their lives if not on a regular basis and we are truly grateful to Fashion Bug for having acceded to our request said Station Superintendent of Fort Railway Station M.A.L. A total of 150 signs were made at a cost of over Rs. 3 million. Fashion Bug annually spends over Rs. 10 million on CSR projects island-wide and is currently involved in providing clean water for the Ovitigama Maha Vidyalaya, whilst their project Roo Siththam , an annual island wide art competition for school children is also in progress. Our Chairman, Subiyan, believes very strongly in developing the community mangalsutra designs we live in and ploughing back resources for the upliftment of the underprivileged, said Fashion Bug Manager Marketing and Business Development Nadisha Wickremethilake. Fashion Bug was founded in 1994 in Bandarawela with a seven-member team; the first shop being a mere 500 square feet in Bandarawela town. The brainchild of its Founders, Messrs Rizal and Ashan Subian and A.C.M. Thariq, today it has evolved into a household brand that boasts of 17 outlets mangalsutra designs island-wide.
