There must be some negative news about Angelina Jolie about MORE... Archive January 2014 December 20

It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for. She’s been dropping subtle hints such as ‘I’m going to design’, ‘I want to design’, and ‘I love Mr. Armani’.
Rihanna is a great artist. She has personality, charisma and energy, and has been a pleasure to work with. She captures the young and contemporary essence of Emporio Armani Underwear mood rings and Armani Jeans perfectly.
Now it’s not clear yet as to whether mood rings she’ll mood rings go it alone when she launches her own line (that she’s been banging on about every time she comes down from a weed haze and there’s a mic in her face), or if she’ll coat-tail the likes of Armani as a sub-brand.
Perhaps she’s looking to get on the Victoria Beckham track. VB started off with denim collabs, her own denim and sunglasses and then launched into her own name high-fashion label. Note that Rihanna and Posh have both modelled for Armani.
So what is she co-pedalling with Armani Jeans? It’s a ‘capsule collection’. Translation: her ideas were crap so only 10 or so pieces survived the commercial edit. What did survive is, in two words, predominantly hiddy.
The sketches are kind of interesting (aren’t they always), but the clothing itself, with the exception of the leather jacket and the cut-out grey jersey top look like ’80s thrift mood rings store knock-offs.
I’m getting a strong ’80s mall rat vibe (like the girlfriends in ’Weird Science’) off this rubbish. Rihanna’s mood rings ‘own line’ should bring some LOLz, if she ever sobers up long enough to have a lucid thought.

About Aisling O'Connor Aisling is an Irish fashion, pop culture and lifestyle writer whose work can be seen in Harpers Bazaar, The Atlantic, The Daily Mail and The Independent's Irish edition and many others. With a unique sartorial perspective, she strives to translate mood rings high fashion and street style into accessible mood rings looks - and savage often ridiculous celebrity stylings as a matter of public service.
Armani has gone a long way from his days were he wouldnt even hire famous models in the catwalk because he wanted mood rings people to focus on the clothes, to capsule collections? This is not necesarily criticism, brands evolve etc etc I remember an interview with Erin O’Connor were she said that for Armani, she had to go to the casting year after year again, because every year they ‘retested’ each one of their models. It didnt matter if you were an accomplished model who had already worked with them. I really liked that attitude, its (it was) refreshing in a world of celebrity-saturation And now they hire symbol-of-elegance Rihanna to design generic jeans. _ Totally mood rings makes sense :P.
sorry I just read it: “her mood rings name is on the waistband” brilliant! because Rihanna’s name is TOTALLY what I want my gym buddies to see on my 30 -basic-black underwear when im changing mood rings *roll eyes*
You do make me laugh, Fierce.
She’ll be back. ‘Am sure. She’s been gone all week. holidays, maybe?
