The western thuja is a conifer species with many varieties suitable for all tastes and all gardens or terraces, from "dwarf" 1 m. Giants upto 8 m. All are characterized by high resistance pelle pelle to cold, but never seem somewhat the heat and drought prevailing in much of southern Greece. It ie. Plants suited to the north and the mountains. Do not neglect in any way watering them.
Two very common varieties are: the "Danica" with small and spherical in nature, with curly foliage (Y and W: 1m.) And "Smaragd" pelle pelle conical shape without pruning and have dark green foliage and soft. Pruned to obtain various shapes such as spherical, spiral, etc. (H: 5-6 m., D 1-2 m.)
Adversity? coccoid insects.
